An Introduction to Xodol Side Effects
As with any medicine, side effects are possible with
Xodol™ (
hydrocodone/APAP). However, not everyone who takes the medication will have problems. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are easily treated by you or your healthcare provider.
(This article covers many, but not all, of the possible side effects with Xodol. Your healthcare provider can discuss a more complete list of Xodol side effects with you.)
Common Side Effects of Xodol
Common side effects with Xodol may include:
- Constipation
- Lightheadedness or dizziness
- Drowsiness
- Nausea
- Vomiting.
Many people consider themselves "allergic" to Xodol if they experience nausea and vomiting due to the medication. However, this is a common side effect and is not a true allergy. In many cases, this side effect goes away as a person continues to use Xodol. Taking the medication with food may help prevent or reduce nausea and vomiting.
