Voltaren-XR

Voltaren-XR is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that helps relieve symptoms of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, including pain, inflammation, and stiffness. The drug comes in a tablet that is typically taken once a day, and it works by inhibiting the action of certain hormones that cause pain and inflammation in the body. Common side effects of Voltaren-XR include constipation, stomach pain, and ulcers in the stomach or intestines.

What Is Voltaren-XR?

Voltaren®-XR (diclofenac sodium extended-release) is in a class of drugs called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Voltaren-XR is used to reduce pain, inflammation, swelling, and stiffness in people with osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis.

However, Voltaren-XR is not a cure for these types of arthritis, nor does it slow down the progression of the disease.
