Voltaren-XR Precautions and Warnings

An awareness of Voltaren-XR precautions and warning can ensure a safe treatment process. Before starting the drug, talk to your healthcare provider about all medicines you're currently taking, including herbal supplements; any medical condition you have (like high blood pressure or kidney disease); or if you become pregnant while taking the drug. Voltaren-XR precautions and warnings also extend to possible side effects, such as heart attack, stroke, or bleeding.

 

Voltaren-XR: What Should I Tell My Healthcare Provider?

You should talk with your healthcare provider prior to taking Voltaren®-XR (diclofenac sodium extended-release) if you have:
 
Let your healthcare provider know if you:
 
  • Are pregnant or thinking about becoming pregnant
  • Are breastfeeding
  • Drink alcohol frequently
  • Smoke
  • Are having or have recently had heart surgery.
     
Also, tell your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take, including prescription and non-prescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements.
