Vistaril Side Effects

Although most people do not experience side effects while taking Vistaril, problems may occur. Based on limited information, common side effects may include drowsiness, headaches, and decreased mental alertness. While most side effects are minor, some are potentially serious and should be reported to your healthcare provider immediately, including seizures, hallucinations, and allergic reactions.

As with any medicine, Vistaril® (hydroxyzine) can cause side effects. However, not everyone who takes the medication will have problems. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well.
