Talacen Side Effects

Serious Side Effects

Some side effects of Talacen are potentially serious and should be reported immediately to your healthcare provider. These include but are not limited to:
  • The urge to take more Talacen than prescribed or take it for a non-medical purpose
  • High blood pressure (hypertension) or low blood pressure (hypotension)
  • Dizziness or fainting
  • A fast heartbeat (tachycardia)
  • Slowed, shallow, or irregular breathing
  • Seeing or hearing things that are not real (hallucinations)
  • Feeling disoriented or confused
  • Seizures
  • Abdominal (stomach) pain
  • Yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes (jaundice)
  • Severe or persistent constipation
  • Changes in mood or behavior, such as:
    • Depression
    • Irritability
    • Agitation
    • Unusual excitement
  • Unexplained skin rash, redness, or itching
  • Difficulty urinating or less frequent urination
  • Numbness, burning, pricking, or tingling sensations of the skin
  • Signs of an allergic reaction, such as:
    • An unexplained rash
    • Hives
    • Itching
    • Swelling of the mouth or throat
    • Wheezing
    • Difficulty breathing.

You may experience some or none of the Talacen side effects listed in this article. Unfortunately, there is no way for your healthcare provider to know beforehand if you will have problems with a medicine that you have never tried.
