Sprix Side Effects

Serious Side Effects

Some side effects of Sprix should be reported immediately to your healthcare provider. These potential reactions include but are not limited to:
  • Heart attack or stroke. Signs of these problems include:
    • Chest pain
    • Shortness of breath
    • Weakness
    • Slurred speech.
  • Serious or potentially life-threatening stomach or intestinal problems, including bleeding, ulcers, or holes (perforation). Signs of these problems may include:
    • Black, sticky, tarry stools
    • Blood in the urine or stools
    • Abdominal (stomach) pain and indigestion
    • Vomiting blood.
  • A decrease in how much or how often you urinate.
  • Serious liver problems, which could cause:
    • Nausea
    • Fatigue
    • Excessive tiredness
    • Itching
    • Upper stomach pain
    • Flu-like symptoms
    • Yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes (jaundice).
  • Fluid retention, such as swelling (edema) in your hands, ankles, or feet, or unexplained weight gain.
  • Increased blood pressure (hypertension).
  • A blistering or peeling skin rash.
  • Signs of an allergic reaction, such as:
    • An unexplained rash
    • Hives
    • Itching
    • Unexplained swelling, especially of the mouth, lips, or throat
    • Wheezing or difficulty breathing
    • Difficulty swallowing.
