Relafen Medication for Pain

Available only by prescription, Relafen® (nabumetone) is a medication used for treating osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Specifically, this medication can help relieve arthritis symptoms such as pain, swelling, and stiffness. It comes in tablet form and is available in two different strengths.
Relafen belongs to a group of medications called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). As a pain medication, Relafen helps to treat arthritis symptoms by inhibiting the action of certain hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body.
As with any medicine, side effects are possible. In clinical studies, some of the most common side effects seen with Relafen included headaches, constipation, and nausea. To help reduce the risk of such problems, it is important to take the lowest effective dose for the least amount of time.
