Percocet Drug Interactions

Alcohol, antihistamines, and barbiturates are just a few of the substances that can cause Percocet drug interactions. These interactions can increase your risk of serious side effects, including memory loss, confusion, and difficulty breathing. To reduce your risk of drug interactions with Percocet, tell your healthcare provider about any other medications you are taking, including non-prescription medications.

 

An Overview of Percocet Drug Interactions

Percocet® (oxycodone/APAP) can potentially interact with a number of other medications. Some of the medicines that may lead to Percocet drug interactions include:
 
  • Alcohol
  • Antidepressants
  • Antihistamines
  • Barbiturates, such as:
     
    • Amobarbital (Amytal®)
    • Butalbital (Fioricet®, Fiorinal®)
    • Pentobarbital (Nembutal®)
    • Phenobarbital (Luminal®)
