Percocet Drug Interactions

Phenothiazines
Taking Percocet with a phenothiazine might increase your risk of side effects, such as drowsiness, confusion, memory loss, or difficulty breathing. Serious side effects may also occur. This combination of medications may also increase the risk of dangerously low blood pressure (hypotension). Talk to your healthcare provider before combining Percocet with any phenothiazine.

Sleep Medications
Percocet can cause significant drowsiness, and combining it with a sleep medication could lead to dangerous effects. In general, Percocet should not be used in combination with sleep medications, unless your healthcare provider specifically recommends that you do so.

Zidovudine (Retrovir)
Percocet may decrease the level of zidovudine in your blood, perhaps making it less effective. Check with your healthcare provider before taking these medications together.
