Percocet® (oxycodone/APAP) is a narcotic medicine often used for relieving moderate to moderately severe pain. It is available by prescription only, comes in tablet form, and can be found in the following strengths:
 
  • 2.5/325 mg tablets -- 2.5 mg of oxycodone hydrochloride and 325 mg of acetaminophen
  • 5/325 mg tablets -- 5 mg of oxycodone hydrochloride and 325 mg of acetaminophen
  • 7.5/325 mg tablets -- 7.5 mg of oxycodone hydrochloride and 325 mg of acetaminophen
  • 7.5/500 mg tablets -- 7.5 mg of oxycodone hydrochloride and 500 mg of acetaminophen
  • 10/325 mg tablets -- 10 mg of oxycodone hydrochloride and 325 mg of acetaminophen
  • 10/650 mg tablets -- 10 mg of oxycodone hydrochloride and 650 mg of acetaminophen.
     
For most Percocet strengths, the recommended dosage is one tablet every six hours as needed for pain. It is important that you do not exceed the maximum recommended dose for your particular product. The maximum recommended dosage for 10/650 mg Percocet tablets is six tablets per day.
