Buying Percocet Without a Prescription
Percocet® (oxycodone/APAP) is a narcotic pain medication that is available by prescription only. Not only is it illegal to buy this drug without a prescription, it is also extremely unsafe. Some of the reasons why Percocet should not be bought without a prescription include:
- Legitimate pharmacies will not sell Percocet without a prescription. Because you can be assured that you are getting the "real thing" (not a counterfeit or expired medication) only from a legitimate pharmacy, buying this drug without a prescription increases your risk of getting a substandard or dangerous product.
- As a prescription medication, Percocet is not considered safe for use without a healthcare provider's supervision. Some people should not take the drug for certain health reasons, and Percocet may interact with a number of other medications (both prescription and non-prescription). Without the supervision of a healthcare provider, people may be more likely to suffer dangerous side effects or toxicities due to Percocet.
- Needing to buy Percocet without a prescription is a good indication that you have a problem with Percocet addiction or abuse. These problems are serious and can be life-threatening.
