Benefits of Percocet

Percocet® (oxycodone/APAP) is a narcotic medicine that is available by prescription. There are many benefits of this drug. For example, it is commonly used for relieving moderate to moderately severe pain. It can be used for treating short-term pain (such as pain due to a surgery, dental procedure, or injury), as well as migraines, chronic pain, or other types of recurring or long-term conditions that cause pain.

Percocet is either taken "as needed" or on a scheduled basis. "As needed" means you will only take a dose if you are experiencing pain (if you are not in pain, you will skip the dose), while "scheduled use" means you should take it on schedule, even if you are not in pain. Most healthcare providers prescribe the drug on an "as needed" basis, rather than a scheduled basis.
