Medication Pentazacine

Were you looking for information about Pentazocine? Medication pentazacine is a common misspelling of medication pentazocine.

Pentazocine lactate (Talwin®) is approved to treat certain types of pain --namely moderate-to-severe pain. It can also be used before surgery or in combination with anesthesia.

Because this medication is not suitable for everyone, talk to your healthcare provider before using it if you have liver disease, a head injury, or breathing problems. Pentazocine comes as a liquid that is injected into a vein, muscle, or just under the skin every three to four hours.
