Stagesic Medication Information

Stagesic™ (hydrocodone/APAP) is a drug that is classified as a narcotic. It is prescribed for the treatment of moderate-to-moderately severe pain. As a controlled substance, Stagesic has special federal and state laws and regulations controlling its sale and use. This also means that the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is involved in various aspects of prescribing, dispensing, and criminal investigations.
 
Prior to beginning treatment with Stagesic, inform your healthcare provider about any other medications you are taking, as well as if you have a history of drug or alcohol dependence. You should also be aware of possible side effects, such as:
 
  • Nausea and vomiting (especially if taken on an empty stomach)
  • Drowsiness
  • Dizziness.

Stagesic comes in the form of a capsule and is generally taken every four to six hours as needed, although some people may need to take it on a scheduled basis for chronic pain.
