Ofirmev Uses

Can Children Use It?

Ofirmev is approved for use in children as young as two years old. It is not approved for children younger than two years of age, as it has not been adequately studied in young children. Nonetheless, it is likely that this medication will be used frequently in children younger than two years old, as the safety and effectiveness of other forms of acetaminophen (such as oral Tylenol or acetaminophen suppositories) is well established.

Are There Off-Label Uses?

On occasion, your healthcare provider may recommend using Ofirmev for something other than the treatment of pain or fever (this would be known as an "off-label" use). However, at this time, there are no universally accepted off-label uses for Ofirmev.
