Nucynta Uses

Can Children Use It?

Nucynta is approved only for use in individuals age 18 and older, as it has not been adequately studied in children and adolescents. Other medications are probably more appropriate for this particular age group. Talk with your child's healthcare provider about the potential risks and benefits of using Nucynta in children, as well as any suitable alternatives.

Off-Label Uses for Nucynta

On occasion, your healthcare provider may recommend this product for something other than acute pain (this would be known as an "off-label" use). Using Nucynta to treat chronic pain (such as cancer pain or fibromyalgia pain) would be considered an off-label use of the medication.
