Linezolid
Taking Nucynta with linezolid can increase the risk of a group of symptoms called serotonin syndrome. These symptoms include:
 
  • Confusion
  • Hallucinations
  • Fast heartbeat
  • Feeling faint
  • Fever
  • Sweating
  • Muscle spasm
  • Difficulty walking
  • Diarrhea.
 
Talk to your healthcare provider before taking these medications together, and call your healthcare provider right away if you have any of these symptoms, as serotonin syndrome can be dangerous.
 
Medications That Cause Drowsiness
Combining Nucynta with any other medications that cause drowsiness can increase your risk of side effects, such as:
 
  • Drowsiness
  • Confusion
  • Memory loss
  • Difficulty breathing.
 
Serious side effects may also occur. Talk to your healthcare provider before taking Nucynta with such medications. In addition, combining Nucynta with antidepressants may increase the risk of serotonin syndrome.
 
Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors (MAOIs)
Taking Nucynta with an MAOI can cause life-threatening reactions. Do not use these drugs within 14 days of each other.
 
Sibutramine
Taking Nucynta with sibutramine can cause a group of symptoms called serotonin syndrome. Talk to your healthcare provider before combining these medications, and call your healthcare provider right away if you have any symptoms of serotonin syndrome, as it can be dangerous.
 
St. John's Wort
Combining Nucynta with St. John's wort can cause a group of symptoms called serotonin syndrome. Talk to your healthcare provider before taking these products together, and call your healthcare provider right away if you have any symptoms of serotonin syndrome, as it can be dangerous.
