Norco Indications

The pain medicine Norco® (hydrocodone/APAP) is prescribed for a number of uses (also called "indications"). For example, it is commonly used to treat moderate to moderately severe pain caused by:
 
  • An injury
  • A dental procedure
  • Surgery.
     
Occasionally, it is used to treat chronic pain, cancer pain, migraines, or other types of recurring or long-term conditions that cause pain. It is often used (or rather, abused) inappropriately, as it contains a narcotic medication.
 
In some cases, Norco may be used "off-label" for the treatment of:
 
Norco is only approved for use in adults, as its effects have not been adequately studied in children.
