Naprosyn Risks

In most cases, Naprosyn® (naproxen) is a safe and effective medication. However, there are several precautions to be aware of before starting treatment. For example, using Naprosyn may increase your risk of gastrointestinal bleeding, high blood pressure, and cardiovascular events (such as a heart attack or stroke).
 
In addition, Naprosyn increases your risk of side effects, such as:

  • Liver or kidney disease
  • Bleeding problems or are taking medicines that decrease your blood's ability to clot
