Motrin Pain Reliever

Motrin® (ibuprofen) is a drug approved to control pain, fever, stiffness, and inflammation. This medication is available with or without a prescription, and is taken orally in the form of tablets, caplets, or an oral solution.

As a pain reliever, Motrin belongs to a class of drugs called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and works by inhibiting the action of certain hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body.

Although most people tolerate Motrin well, it is not suitable for everyone. Side effects may include nausea, heartburn, and dizziness. To reduce the risk of serious side effects, it is important to take the lowest effective dose for the least amount of time in order to treat your condition.
