Motrin 100 Mg

If you have pain, fever, or inflammation, you may benefit from Motrin® (ibuprofen). This medication is available with or without a prescription, and comes in several forms and strengths. It is available in the form of an oral suspension, caplets, and tablets.
If you are looking for the nonprescription form of Motrin, there are several strengths and forms available, including:
  • Motrin 100 mg tablets and caplets
  • Motrin 200 mg tablets and caplets
  • Motrin 50 mg/1.25 mL oral solution -- 1.25 mL contains 50 mg of Motrin
  • Motrin 100 mg/5mL oral solution -- one teaspoon (5 mL) contains 125 mg of Motrin.
There are higher strengths of Motrin available, but they require a prescription.
The recommended nonprescription dose for most people over 12 years of age is Motrin 200 mg every four to six hours as needed to reduce pain or fever. The daily nonprescription dose of Motrin should not exceed 1200 mg (six tablets or caplets), unless directed by your healthcare provider.
