Morphine Tablets

Because morphine is used in a variety of different situations, this medication is supplied in several different forms. In particular, there are morphine tablets and capsules (long-acting forms), immediate-release forms (tablets and oral solution), an oral solution, and various different forms for injection.

Short-acting, immediate-release morphine comes only in generic form and is available in the following forms and strengths:

Morphine sulfate 15 mg tablets
Morphine sulfate 30 mg tablets
Morphine sulfate oral solution 10 mg per 5 mL (10 mg per teaspoonful)
Morphine sulfate oral solution 20 mg per 5 mL (20 mg per teaspoonful).

There are a variety of long-acting morphine tablets and capsules available. There are also a variety of different injectable morphine products available, including short-acting and long-acting injections.
