Side Effects of Metaxalone

Drowsiness, dizziness, and nausea are among the most common side effects of metaxalone. Side effects are typically mild and, in most cases, are easily treated. However, the medication can also cause potentially serious side effects that require medical attention. Notify your healthcare provider right away if you develop symptoms such as yellow skin, severe fatigue, or severe infections.

An Introduction to Side Effects of Metaxalone

Just like any medicine, metaxalone (Skelaxin®) can cause side effects. However, not everyone who takes the medication will experience side effects. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well. If metaxalone side effects occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are easily treated by you or your healthcare provider.
(This article covers many, but not all, of the possible side effects with metaxalone. Your healthcare provider can discuss a more complete list of metaxalone side effects with you.)
