Problems With Meloxicam

As with many other medications, meloxicam (Mobic®) can sometimes cause problems. Some of the most common problems with meloxicam include side effects, such as:
 
If side effects do occur, they tend to be minor and easy to treat. However, there are some potentially serious meloxicam reactions that require immediate medical attention. Contact your healthcare provider if you experience problems such as:
 
  • Chest pain
  • Shortness of breath
  • Slurred speech.

Also, because meloxicam can increase the risk of major or life-threatening bleeding, contact your doctor immediately if you notice any unusual bleeding or have any of the following symptoms:
 
  • Bloody nose
  • Blood in the urine or stools
  • Vomiting blood.
