Meloxicam Oral

People with certain types of arthritis may benefit from meloxicam (Mobic®), an oral medication that comes in the form of tablets or a liquid. This prescription medication is specifically approved to treat pain, inflammation, swelling, and/or stiffness caused by osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and juvenile rheumatoid arthritis.

As an oral medication, meloxicam should be taken with a glass of water. Also, taking it with milk or food may prevent an upset stomach. It is important to follow your healthcare provider's instructions carefully with regards to dosing. Do not increase or decrease your dose without specific approval and supervision.

It is important to take the lowest effective dose for the least amount of time in order to treat your condition. This will decrease the chances of serious side effects occurring.
