Meloxicam (Mobic®) is licensed to treat pain, inflammation, and swelling caused by various forms of arthritis (such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis). As a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), it works by inhibiting certain hormones that cause pain and inflammation in the body. This prescription medication is available as a tablet or in liquid form.
