Who Should Not Take Savella?

You should not take Savella if you:
 
  • Are allergic to Savella, milnacipran hydrochloride, or any inactive components used to make the medicine. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients.
     
  • Have taken a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) within the past two weeks. Also, you should not take an MAOI if you have taken Savella within the last five days. MAOIs include:
 
 
  • Are taking intravenous methylene blue or linezolid (Zyvox®).
     
  • Have uncontrolled narrow-angle glaucoma (a condition of the eye).
     

    Savella Warnings and Precautions: Final Thoughts
