Based on the information gathered in clinical trials, the prescription drug pregabalin (Lyrica®) appears to be an effective treatment for nerve pain, epilepsy, and fibromyalgia. The medication comes in capsule form and is typically taken two or three times a day. Common side effects include drowsiness, weight gain, and dizziness. However, most people tolerate it well.
