Pain Home > Buying OxyContin

OxyContin® (oxycodone ER) is a narcotic opioid medication that is classified as a Schedule II controlled substance (the strictest classification for legal medications) in the United States. As such, it is subject to regulation by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). There are strict rules for obtaining OxyContin, and there are strict fines and penalties for selling, using, or buying it (online or otherwise) without a prescription.
As long as you have a legitimate prescription, you can order OxyContin from any licensed pharmacy, including legitimate internet pharmacies that choose to sell controlled substances (some do not). If the pharmacy does not require a prescription, this is a huge warning flag that the pharmacy is not legitimate. The best way to know if an internet pharmacy is legitimate is to make sure it is one of the Verified Internet Pharmacy Practice Sites (VIPPS®).
Of course, OxyContin can also be bought at your local pharmacy. Either way, make sure your pharmacist (including your online pharmacist) has a complete list of all the medications you take and any medical conditions you may have.
