Generic Diclofenac Potassium: An Overview

Diclofenac potassium (Cambia™, Cataflam®, Zipsor™) is a prescription medication that has been licensed to treat several painful conditions. It belongs to a group of medications known as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
 
Cambia is made by Kowa Pharmaceuticals America, Inc. Cataflam is made by Patheon, Inc. for Novartis Pharmaceuticals. Zipsor is made by Xanodyne Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Cambia and Zipsor are not available in generic form (see Generic Cambia and Generic Zipsor). However, Cataflam has come off patent, making it available as a generic.

Generic diclofenac potassium is sold under the name Diclofenac Potassium tablets. It is available in one strength -- Diclofenac Potassium 50 mg.
