Acupuncture for Pain

Acupuncture has been used widely for chronic pain, including back and neck pain, headache, and arthritis. Although scientific research continues to investigate how this ancient Chinese therapy works, recent evidence has shown that acupuncture is effective in treating a number of pain conditions. An analysis of 29 scientific trials using acupuncture to treat chronic pain showed it to be significantly more effective than standard treatment of chronic pain alone. Furthermore, acupuncture is a safe therapy when done by a properly trained and licensed professional.
