Lortab Drug Interactions

Antihistamines
Many antihistamines cause significant drowsiness and can cause serious problems when used in combination with other medications that cause drowsiness, such as Lortab. Check with your healthcare provider before taking Lortab with an antihistamine, including non-prescription antihistamines.
 
Antipsychotic Medications
Combining an antipsychotic medication with Lortab can increase your risk of side effects, such as drowsiness, confusion, memory loss, or difficulty breathing. Serious side effects may also occur. Talk to your healthcare provider before taking Lortab with an antipsychotic medication.
 
Barbiturates
Combining a barbiturate with Lortab can increase your risk of side effects, such as drowsiness, confusion, memory loss, or difficulty breathing. Serious side effects may also occur. Talk to your healthcare provider before taking Lortab with a barbiturate.
 
Benzodiazepines
Taking Lortab in combination with a benzodiazepine might increase your risk of side effects, such as drowsiness, confusion, memory loss, or difficulty breathing. Serious side effects may also occur. Talk to your healthcare provider before taking Lortab with any benzodiazepines.
 
Other Narcotics or Opiates
Use extreme caution when combining Lortab with other narcotics or opiates, as serious side effects could occur. You should only use these medications together with your healthcare provider's approval and supervision.
 
Sleep Medications
Lortab can cause significant drowsiness, and combining it with a sleep medication could lead to dangerous effects. In general, Lortab should not be used in combination with sleep medications, unless your healthcare provider specifically recommends that you do so.
