Lortab Dosage

For adults, the recommended dosage of Lortab is one to two tablets (2.5/500 or 5/500) every four to six hours as needed. With 7.5/500 or 10/500 tablets, the recommended dose is one tablet every four to six hours. For the elixir, the usual recommended dosage is one tablespoonful every four to six hours. Dosing for children is determined by the child's age and weight.

An Introduction to Dosing With Lortab

The dosage of Lortab® (hydrocodone/APAP) that your healthcare provider recommends will vary, depending on a number of factors, including:

  • How you respond to Lortab
  • Your weight (for children)
  • Other medications you are taking
  • Other medical conditions you may have.

As is always the case, do not adjust your dosage unless your healthcare provider specifically tells you to do so.

Lortab Dosage for Children
