Lorcet® (hydrocodone/APAP) is a prescription pain relief medication. The narcotic component of the drug (hydrocodone) is effective at decreasing pain and relieving coughing, but it can also cause mood changes, drowsiness, and mental "clouding." Lorcet, which is available in tablet and capsule form, is generally taken every four to six hours as needed for pain. Some people may take Lorcet regularly for chronic pain.
