Lorcet® (hydrocodone/APAP) is a medication used for the treatment of moderate to moderately severe pain. It is a controlled substance that has the potential to be abused. The narcotic component of the drug (hydrocodone) is effective at decreasing pain but may also cause drowsiness, mood changes, and "mental clouding." Lorcet comes in the form of capsules and tablets, and is available by prescription only.
