Loracet

Were you looking for more information about Lorcet? Loracet is a common misspelling of Lorcet.

Lorcet® (hydrocodone/APAP) is a prescription medication used for relieving moderate to moderately severe pain. It is a combination drug that contains acetaminophen and hydrocodone (a narcotic). Due to its narcotic component, Lorcet is classified as a controlled substance.

Lorcet comes in tablet and capsule form, and is taken "as needed" or on a scheduled basis. It is best to take your dosage with food, as this may help reduce stomach upset. Potential side effects include dizziness, constipation, vomiting, and drowsiness. However, most people tolerate the drug well and do not have problems while taking it.

Be careful not to exceed the maximum recommended daily dose, as this could lead to overdose symptoms or to poisoning from the acetaminophen component, which can cause liver failure.
