Lorcet^® (hydrocodone/APAP) is a combination medicine approved for the treatment of moderate to moderately severe pain. It contains hydrocodone, a narcotic similar to codeine, and acetaminophen, a component commonly found in over-the-counter products. Lorcet is available in tablet and capsule form, and can either be taken as needed for short-term pain or on a regular basis for chronic pain. It is important to not exceed the maximum recommended daily dose, as this could lead to overdose symptoms such as cardiac arrest, liver failure, or slow heart rate.
