Abnormal Scars After a Laparoscopy for Endometriosis

You may have several small scars following a laparoscopy for endometriosis. Most often, these heal without any problems. However, it is possible that you will develop a noticeable scar, especially if you have a history of keloids (scars with increased thickness). If you are concerned about these issues, you will need to consult with a dermatologist and your physician about your specific case. The appearance of the scars, however, does not predict the results of your operation. Even people with enlarged scars can have excellent surgical results.
