Fentynel

Were you looking for information about Fentanyl? Fentynel is a common misspelling of fentanyl.

Fentanyl (Abstral®, Actiq®, Duragesic®, Fentora®, Lazanda®, Onsolis®, Subsys®) is an active ingredient in many prescription pain relievers. As a type of opioid narcotic, the drug works to relieve pain by binding to opioid receptors throughout the body. It is also classified as a controlled substance that has a high potential for both abuse and physical dependence.

Although most people tolerate it well, fentanyl is not suitable for everyone. Before starting treatment, tell your healthcare provider about any other medical conditions you may have and any other medications you are taking, including nonprescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements.
