Fentanil

Were you looking for information about Fentanyl? Fentanil is a common misspelling of fentanyl.

Fentanyl (Abstral®, Actiq®, Duragesic®, Fentora®, Lazanda®, Onsolis®, Subsys®) is approved to treat pain and is a common ingredient in many prescription pain relievers. Because the medication is a type of opioid, it works by binding to opioid receptors throughout the body, producing effects such as pain relief, drowsiness, and cough suppression.

It is possible to take too much of this drug. Make sure to seek immediate medical attention if you think you may have overdosed on fentanyl, as this type of overdose can be quite dangerous and even fatal.
