fentanyl patch) is a prescription opioid narcotic used to treat moderate-to-severe chronic pain. It should only be used in people who have not had adequate pain control with other pain medications and who require around-the-clock pain relief.
Duragesic comes in the form of a skin patch, which is worn continuously for 72 hours. After this time, the old patch is thrown away and a new one is applied. Your dosage of the Duragesic patch will depend on several factors, such as the type and severity of your pain, other medications you are taking, and other medical conditions you have.
