Darone

Darvon® (propoxyphene hydrochloride) is a medicine that is licensed for the treatment of mild to moderate pain. As a narcotic medication, Darvon is classified as a controlled substance and is a desired drug of abuse. Not surprisingly, it is available by prescription only. The product comes in capsule form and is taken every four hours as needed for pain (but not to exceed 6 capsules in 24 hours). Potential side effects include nausea, dizziness, and drowsiness.
