As with any narcotic drug, it is possible to experience withdrawal from Darvocet® (propoxyphene/acetaminophen). Over time, the body becomes accustomed to the effects of Darvocet. If the drug is stopped too quickly, withdrawal symptoms could occur. Withdrawal symptoms can vary in intensity and may include insomnia, nausea, shakiness, and diarrhea. In order to help limit these symptoms, your healthcare provider may need to wean you off the medication.
