Darvocet® (propoxyphene/acetaminophen) is a prescription medicine approved for treating mild-to-moderate pain. It comes in tablet form and is taken on an "as needed" basis (usually every four hours as needed for pain). This medication contains both acetaminophen and a narcotic that works in the central nervous system. While most people tolerate it well, as with any drug, side effects are possible. Some of the most common side effects reported with this medicine include dizziness, vomiting, and drowsiness.
