Buprinex

A healthcare provider may prescribe Buprenex® (buprenorphine injection) to relieve moderate-to-severe pain. The painkiller is available in the form of an injection and is either given in a muscle or through an intravenous infusion (by IV). It is an opioid narcotic that provides pain relief by binding to opioid receptors throughout the body. Side effects may include nausea, drowsiness, and dizziness.
