Generic Anaprox

Now that the patent for Anaprox has expired, several companies manufacture a generic form of the drug. Generic Anaprox is available in a number of strengths and is sold under the name Naproxen Sodium tablets. As with Anaprox, this generic form is used to treat acute pain associated with menstrual periods or conditions such as arthritis and gout. Generic Anaprox can also be used to treat low back pain or knee pain.

Anaprox was originally developed by Roche Pharmaceuticals. It has since come off-patent, which means that it is now available in a generic form.
 

Strengths of Generic Anaprox

Generic Anaprox is sold under the name Naproxen Sodium tablets. It comes in a number of different strengths, including:
 
  • Naproxen Sodium 275 mg
  • Naproxen Sodium 550 mg (equivalent to Anaprox DS).
